Picking names fairly
Paste your list from a spreadsheet, class register or comment thread (one name per line) and spin. "Remove the winner" is switched on here, so each person can only be picked once — perfect for choosing presentation order, Secret Santa draws or several giveaway winners in a row.
Each name has an equal chance; the result is chosen with a secure random number generator. Duplicate names count as separate entries, so remove duplicates first if each person should have one chance.
Tips for teachers
- Save time by keeping your class list here — it stays in this browser between visits.
- Use "Shuffle" to create a random order for the whole class in one click.
- Project the page on a screen so students can see the draw is fair.
