How to convert hourly pay to salary

Multiply your hourly rate by hours per week, then by weeks per year. A full-time year is usually 40 × 52 = 2,080 hours, so a quick rule is: hourly rate × 2,080 = annual salary. $25 an hour × 2,080 = $52,000 a year.

Going the other way, divide the salary by 2,080: $60,000 ÷ 2,080 = $28.85 an hour.

A handy shortcut: double the hourly rate and add three zeros for a rough yearly figure ($20/hour ≈ $40,000/year).

Unpaid time off

If you don't get paid holidays or vacation, lower "weeks per year" — for example 50 weeks if you take two unpaid weeks off. Part-time? Change the hours per week.
